The Debut Hub
A home for Nigerian music with live charts from Spotify, a weekly cover story and CMS-driven articles. Designed by Kems Designs, built by me.
Live charts and editorial in one Next.js build
The Debut Hub is a music community built by artists, for artists, focused on discovering Nigerian talent. Kems Designs designed the site; I built it.
The charts are live rather than entered by hand. The homepage calls a typed tRPC router that talks to Spotify for the top albums in Nigeria, this week's top tracks and the artist at number one, and the cover story is built around whoever holds that spot.
Articles come from Sanity, so the team can publish without a developer. The homepage pulls the latest stories, the articles page lists and searches them, and a newsletter signup closes every page. It runs as a Next.js app on Vercel.
